The requirement of a Certified Softfall Underlay System under your Wear Layer in a commercial play space is needed when you have play items exceeding 400mm from the ground creating a Critical Fall Zone. The allowance for a CFZ must cover a minimum surrounding area of 1.5m measured out from the point of Critical Fall to comply with AUS STD's. The depth of the Softfall Underlay can vary from 20mm<120mm to meet the assorted Critical Fall Heights (CFH) of the surrounding play items.
Certified Softfall Underlay can be achieved through a Wetpour seamless application or prefabricated ShockPads.
